Kathy O’Connell, MD, is a 1988-graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School. Her postgraduate training includes her obstetrics and gynecology residency served at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Drexel University (1988-1992). Dr. O’Connell completed his undergraduate education, i.e., his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1984. She attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Furthermore, he has been honored with the Mary Immaculate Hospital’s Partners in Healing Award (2005), and has been featured in Health Care Hero, Inside Business Journal (2011) and 40 Influential Women of Virginia of Virginia Lawyers Weekly (2015).
