Dr. O’Connell, an admired obstetrician-gynecologist, is the owner & operator of Peninsula Women’s Care in Newport News, Virginia. Serving women in Hampton Roads since 1992, Peninsula Women’s Care is dedicated to providing patients with excellent customer service and compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare. It is a division of Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care, PLC. Dr. O’Connell graduated from Tabb High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, after which she performed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Drexel University. She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). In direct affiliation with her industry, she is a member of the American Association of Pro Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
